Last week marked the end of a remarkable chapter for me – after 6.5 years at Uber, it's time for a new journey. Starting as a software engineer in a fast growing Data Platform team at BLR, I had the honor of contributing to vital data infrastructure projects. From enhancing Kafka's scalability and security to overseeing HDFS and spearheading the CloudLake transition to GCP, each project was a lesson in growth. These years have been transformative, shaping me both professionally and personally. They taught me the intricacies of building and managing platforms on a grand scale, the art of collaboration across diverse global teams, resilience in the face of constant change, and composure in challenging situations and fighting fires. I owe immense gratitude to my mentors, colleagues, and everyone who added meaning to this journey.
