We had a phenomenal time at #GoogleIOConnect in Bangalore! Our team setup a super cool AI Cricket Challenge powered by Gemini and Veo, that analyzes both the player and the ball's trajectory to deliver impactful suggestions to help improve the player. This interactive demo experience showcased various SoTA AI models, right form Gemini to quantify the player's stance and motion, A vibe coded OpenCV implementation for ball tracking and Imagen + Veo to generate snazzy images and videos of the players mid-shot! There were a lot of interesting discussions around AI for sports and how the next generation of models can help create newer sporting experiences especially for younger audiences. AI becoming more democratized has given birth to several such ideas that are no longer confined to the realms of software but can be extended to hardware and beyond, creating a holistic (and fun!) experience for the end user. A huge thank you to everyone involved in this demo, right from it's inception to the final setup. This was one of the most fun demos I've ever been a part of!
